That’s why when you’re approved for a loan you’ll be able to access our range of ongoing business support and mentoring services – whether that’s a quick call for some advice, finding out about relevant events, accessing discounted services from partner organisations, or somebody to run an idea past and brainstorm with.
If you need more specialist support we’ll also provide you with assistance and guidance on finding and approaching a mentor.
Our ongoing business support services are available to Start Up Loan recipients in England and Scotland.

Martyn Weller is the Chairman of the York Branch of Federation of Small Businesses and was a director for a £56M turnover national business before starting his own business. He is a Magistrate as well as the Chairman for Disability Action Yorkshire. He specialises in online retail & service organisations.
Paul French owns a business in Digital Media Production and has 40 years of relevant experience. He specialises in Start ups, Business plan preparation, Micro business management and taking concepts from innovation and design to final production.
Philippa Seal is an independent business mentor as well as a small business growth advisor. She specialises in Marketing (both digital and social), start ups, small businesses, profit and loss, freelancers and creative and tech businesses.
Stephen Dykes is the director of Add-ICT Solutions Ltd. He has had 15+ years experience in Business Development within organisations of various sizes. He has also operated as a freelance consultant working for organisations such as Cisco and BT.

He left to take on a directorship role at Newcastle Racecourse, where he is currently. Joy has worked in the enterprise sector for many years, as a lecturer presenting Start-up seminars and as a one-to-one adviser for aspiring owners.
