Successful Applicants Spotlight - September 2014

After the summer, we had a very successful month of applications. September saw 43 different businesses receive support from our range of Mentors and funded with money ranging from £1000 to £25,000.

Out of the 43 people we helped, 7 of these were in Scotland and 39.5% of applicants were over 30 years of age.

We funded and supported:

7 food and drink related businesses. These include a Caribbean style restaurant and a business geared towards making handmade and bespoke Cheesecakes.

2 fashion businesses.

2 gardening businesses. One was a retail outlet providing equipment and the other providing services.

Several different retail business with a range of products both online and offline. These included a military and outdoor shop.

Apart from those we also funded a games company, a mobile massaging business, a music promotion company, a gap year programme, a scrap collector, a photographer and a person who created an innovative drinks and food holder for various events and festivals!
