Complete the form on the next page. We’ll do a full eligibility check and credit search, then inform you by email what the next steps are.
One of our Business Advisers will be in touch to assist with your business plan. They will work at your pace. We’ll need to see your bank statements (and sometimes other documents are also required).
When your business plan is complete we will review it and let you know if your application has been successful.
Once you’ve signed the loan agreement the money will be transferred to your bank account and you will be assigned a mentor (if you want one).
Each founder (partner, director, shareholder) can apply from £500 up to £25,000. If your business partners are also applying, they should complete the application form too. Final loan amounts are assessed on the needs of your business.
Please note that this is not grant funding. Meeting monthly repayments form a primary condition of the loan agreement you accept and sign. Like other credit commitments, failed Start Up Loan repayments may affect your credit record and formal action may commence against you for missed loan payments.
