What do I do if I am unable to provide a Passport, Driving Licence, EU Identity Card or UK Military ID?
If you have not been able to provide a Passport, Driving Licence, EU Identity Card or UK Military ID then you must provide a copy of two letters issued by different Government departments dated within the last 12 months.
Each letter must:
Be dated within the last 12 months
Show the issuer’s letterhead/information
Have been received through the post
Have been sent to your current residential address
Be submitted in full, including any extra pages
What we need to see:
Your full name
Your current residential address
Your date of birth or National Insurance Number
How to send us your documents:
To send your ID and address documents to us, you can:
Attach them to an email and send to our Admin Team
Make an appointment to bring them to our office in Gateshead
For very large files, use an online service such as We Transfer
If you are scanning or photographing the documents please make sure the scans capture the full document and are good quality images.
We can accept letters from these Government departments:
HM Revenue & Customs (we do not accept P60 or P45 documents)
Child Support Agency
Department for Work & Pensions
Benefits Agency
Jobcentre Plus
