We’re chatting with the Operations Team for our latest Meet the Staff installment, specifically Customer Service Assistant Chloe Heads. New to the Transmit Team, Chloe takes us through a typical day in the office and her recommendation for new start-ups.
What is your current position at Transmit Start-Ups? Tell us a little about your role and what it entails.
My position at Transmit Start-Ups is a Customer Service Assistant and my role entails covering all aspects of providing successful customer service. So I will answer the telephone, support clients with their start up loan applications, correspond to emails, manage diary systems and input data. My job also entails processing loans and performing eligibility checks - so I have to pay a lot of attention to detail!
What does a typical day at Transmit Start-Ups look like for you?
My days at Transmit are filled with laughter and dedication. The team and I always aim to get everything done efficiently and as smoothly as possible, from entering work to leaving at the end of the day. We take it in our stride to hit our targets and deliver a good service to the highest standard we can.
What is your background prior to joining Transmit Start-Ups and what made you decide to join the company?
My past experience included working on the New Enterprise Allowance Prime Team at Gateshead Council. This has come in quite handy whilst working at Transmit, as the previous role involved dealing with people who wanted to start their own business and get support, so I would put together various business documents to help support this.
I also worked as a receptionist in the same business centre as Transmit, so I knew a few familiar faces to say the least! The company have always been very welcoming and friendly and are very successful as a delivery partner. They have been very supportive of me since I joined the team and I love my job.
What do you like to do away from the office to relax, do you have any hobbies or other interests?
In my spare time, I like to spend time relaxing with my boyfriend and my family. I also enjoy socialising with friends. I often like to go to the gym and attend high intensity exercise classes. I also enjoy spending time with my dog and taking him to training classes.
What is it about working with start-ups that you like?
I enjoy working with clients who are looking to start up their own businesses, as I like helping people and helping them achieve their goals. I also love working within my small team, they are a very friendly bunch of people and we put the best into everything we do.
If you could give one tip to a Start Up Loan applicant what would it be?
One tip I would definitely give to a start up applicant is to be prepared and organised. As they are applying for a loan we have to adhere to our guidelines and request different documentation from clients in order to progress with their application. Having all the relevant paperwork for us to review ensures that the process is as smooth as possible and can help speed it up a little too.
If you’re thinking about setting up your own business or need any advice or questions answered on the start-up process, give us a call or drop us an email, we’d love to hear from you!
